Instructions on installing SPC Calendar

This program was developed for DOS platforms and could be used with Windows 3.11, Windows 95, Windows NT, or Windows 2000/Me/XP as well. It is packed in self-extracting archieve by Niko Mack's WinZip. As it is self-extracing program You don't have to install any ather unzip program in order to extract it.

Simply follow these instructions:

1. Donwnload SPCCAL.ZIP and save it to Your computer
2. Unzip (decompress) the file using Your favourite unzip program (like WinZip or Unzip)
3. Run program (double/single click on program icon in Windows Explorer)
4. Select desired program location on Your Hard Disk
5. Click on OK.
6. You have installed the program.

Instructions on installing icons

It's recomended first to check if You have installed Microsoft Plus! program on Your computer (if Your operating system in Windows NT 4, Windows 95 OSR2, or Windows 98, You already have it installed). If You don't use these OS, then to check if You have MS Plus! first minimize all the windows, and click the right button of Your mouse on empty desktop space. Pop-up menu will show. Click on Properties. Desktop properties dialog will show. If there is no Plus! tab You will have to install it first.

If You have MS Plus! installed onto Your computer, follow these instructions:

1. Click with the right button on the link to the ZIP file You would like to install
2. Select Save Link Target As.. (Netscape) or Save Target As.. (Internet Explorer)
3. Save it to the temporary folder by selecting the desired folder in the Save As dialog like c:\temp for the folder and temp_ico_file.zip for desired file name. Then click the Save button.
4. Unzip the file (eather using "WinZip" program for Windows or "Unzip" from console mode), and save the (unziped) file in your Windows/System folder on Your computer as nbicons.icl.
5. Open Properties Dialog as described above, then select Plus! tag
6. Select icon to change, then click on Change Icon.. button and select nbicons.icl file
7. Click on OK.
8. You have installed icon theme.
9. after that you may delete the temporary file tempfile.zip since you don't need it anymore.

Instructions on installing fonts

1. Click with the right button on the link to the ZIP file You would like to install
2. Select Save Link Target As.. (Netscape) or Save Target As.. (Internet Explorer)
3. Save it to the temporary folder by selecting the desired folder in the Save As dialog like c:\temp for the folder and temp_font_file.zip for desired file name. Then click the Save button.
4. The downloaded ZIP file should be saved by now by the name c:\temp\temp_font_file.zip
5. Unzip the file (eather using "WinZip" program for Windows or "Unzip" from console mode) in the same folder as ziped file (i.e. c:\temp\<unziped file> where <unziped file> is the name of the file You have unzipped with the program) .
6. Open Control Panel (click on My Computer>Control Panel) and open Fonts dialog.
7. From Fonts main menu select File>Install New Font... Dialog box Add Fonts will appear.
8. Select c:\temp\ via the dialog. Fonts in the folder should appear in a list of fonts.
9. Select desired fonts to be installed and click on OK. Be sure that you've checked the box "Copy Fonts to Fonts Folder" !
10. You have installed font(s).

Instructions on downloading and installing wallpapers

1. Click with the right button on the link to the wallpaper file You would like to install
2. Select Save Link Target As.. (Netscape) or Save Target As.. (Internet Explorer)
3. Save it in Your pictures folder by selecting the desired folder in the Save As dialog like ..My Documents\My Pictures and wallpaper.jpg for desired file name. Then click the Save button.
4. Open Control Panel (click on My Computer>Control Panel) and open Display dialog.
5. From Desktop tab select wallpaper>Browse...
6. Select file dialog will appear. Select saved wallpaper file (My Documents\My Pictures\wallpaper.jpg). Click OK or Apply
7. If everything if all right, the desired wallpaper should appear in the background of Your Windows.

Instructions on downloading and installing Screensavers

1. Click with the right button on the link to the screensaver file You would like to install
2. Select Save Link Target As.. (Netscape) or Save Target As.. (Internet Explorer)
3. Save it to the prefered temporary folder by selecting the desired folder in the Save As dialog like c:\temp and press the Save button.
   Now, You have saved the .zip file. The next step is to unzip the file since it is in a compressed (.zip) form..
4. Unzip the file (eather using "WinZip" program for Windows or "Unzip" from console mode) in the C:\Windows\<unziped file> where <unziped file> is the name of the file You have unzipped with the program .
5. Open Control Panel (click on My Computer>Control Panel) and open Display dialog.
6. From Desktop tab select Screen Saver>Browse...
7. Select file dialog will appear. Select saved wallpaper file (C:\Windows\<unziped file>, where <unziped file> is the .scr format file). Click OK or Apply
8. If everything if all right, the desired screensaver will appear every time the PC is idle for the time You specified in the Screen Saver settings of Your Windows.
