April 2002, Holy Land : Israeli army is holding
place of Christ's birth in the blockade, and the monks of Bethlehem
are on the fire of Israeli army. One Armenian monk is being seriously
shot. Around 500 Palestinians were killed according to official
Israeli army report, and around 1000 people according to Palestinians.
Israeli army is planing to bury their bodies themselves, and not
to allow Palestinians to take them. There is suspicion that many
civilians including children were killed and the Israelis are
trying to hide it this way.
Israeli armed forces are doing systematic killings in Palestine
for 50 years, since they have established their state on Palestinian
territory in 1948. Since then, they have driven 4 million people
from their homeland have made special refugee camps in their own,
Palestinian land.
We must remember the reason why the UN let Jews create their
independent state in the first place. The reason were concentration
camps, the terror on Jews in Europe and systematic killings that
included everyone, even young children and pregnant women.
But, as we look at the situation in Israel today, we can't help
noticing the terror of the similar way going on - against Palestinians,
and - by Jews of Israel. But, there's no sign of aid that was
given to Jews during and after the 2nd World War. Instead,
only one point of view is being observed. The terror on Palestinians
lead to resistance of radical Palestinian groups, and the arm
of weak is to strike on the most vulnerable target - the civilians.
The key is not to respond with even more killing, but to solve
the problem where it begins - in the relations between Israeli
government and Palestinians.
Israel is not just Israel or Palestine - it is Holy Land for
three greatest religions of the world. The peace must be created
and preserved, and no other goal should exist.
